JavaScript and jQuery Training Courses

Hands On Technology Transfer offers a task-oriented, cost effective approach to learn the fundamentals of JavaScript programming - a crucial skill for any aspiring web developer. The JavaScript Programming course introduces students to client-side JavaScript and how the language can be used to turn static HTML pages into dynamic, interactive web pages. Students will learn the syntax of the JavaScript language and how client-side scripts interact with server-side programs.

HOTT also offers jQuery training with our jQuery Programming course. This hands-on jQuery training course covers the jQuery library, DOM manipulation, performing Ajax requests, and an overview of the UI library. Students will also learn how to use the jQuery function to return a wrapped set of elements, use utility functions to work with arrays and strings, and modify the appearance of elements using a number of predefined effects. The jQuery library is written in JavaScript, so prior knowledge of Javascript is required before attending the jQuery course. For those who need it, our JavaScript Programming course is an excellent option for that requisite knowledge.

Comprehensive hands on exercises are integrated throughout to reinforce learning JavaScript & jQuery and develop real competency. All courses consist of 50% hands-on lab exercises during class time. Courses may be attended in-person in the classroom, online from your home via live remote attendance, or through on demand training at your convenience.

For those of you that are new to website development, it is worth noting that any web developer typically needs at least a basic understanding of HTML and JavaScript. HTML and CSS are the fundamental building blocks that allow you to design the appearance of a webpage, and JavaScript is a crucial programming language that controls the behavior of a webpage and its HTML elements. JavaScript is also the language used by many popular web development frameworks and libraries such as React, Node.js and jQuery.

Because HTML is the first fundamental topic needed for any webpage development, HOTT highly recommends taking the Website Development with HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap course BEFORE taking our JavaScript course, if you do not already have that knowledge.
